“Our guide, sorry can’t remember your name, was bang on time and showed us the sites and temples all the way to Wilpattu Safari. He was super friendly and couldn’t do enough to please us. Waited at the park 4 hours while we went on the safari on a jeep and took us back to Nebombo. 4 hours each way and very busy hectic roads dodging dogs, tuk tuks, people etc. he was a lovely fella. “Helaas door het regenachtige weer weinig dieren gezien, maar daar kan de tour niets aan doen uiteraard. Bij ons waren 2 personen aanwezig: een chauffeur en een “ranger”. Volgens de omschrijving zou de tour in Engels zijn, maar de chauffeur sprak zeer gebrekkig/slecht Engels en de ranger sprak helemaal geen Engels. De ranger lag overigens ruim de helft van onze tour te slapen in de jeep, dus echt dierenspoten werd niet gedaan.. Daarnaast was de chauffeur bevriend van diverse chauffeurs van andere jeeps, waardoor hij continu hen op zocht en telkens zo’n 10 minuten stil ging staan om met hen te praten, in plaats van dieren spotten/rond rijden. They were both very friendly and spotted a lot of animals thay we couldn't see. Kaushika was very knowledgeable of Sri Lankan animals and other animals as well. We had a lot of discussions about animals, culture and many other things. We enjoyed decent readily-made breakfast and lunch in the car.
